Fitnessfor life.
Not a six week challenge. Not a summer body. A way of staying active for the next forty years, shaped by one man's road from 110 kilos to seventy finish lines, and his way back after the doctors said he might never run again.

Guru Fitness Planet began in 2012, when Gurushankar wrote down what actually worked while he lost 37 kilos. No crash diets. No punishment. Just steady habits that hold up on a busy week and still make sense at sixty.
That is still the whole idea.

Start where you are
You do not need to be fit to begin. You begin, and the fitness follows.
- 02
Stay consistent
Small things done often beat big things done once. Show up on the dull days too.
- 03
Train for decades
We care how you move in twenty years, not how you look this Friday.

In 2009 Gurushankar weighed over 110 kilos. He changed it the slow way, with training he could keep up and food he could actually eat. Over the years that followed he finished more than 70 races, including full marathons, with a best of 4 hours 20.
Then in February 2021 an accident tore three ligaments in his knee. After three surgeries, doctors told him walking on his own would be hard, and that running was probably over.
It took nine months to go from a hospital bed, to a walking stick, to walking unaided. In 2026 he laced up and started again. That second start is Guru Fitness Planet today.

Planet 2.0
From bedridden to walking, then running again. He starts over.
This is not a gym for the already fit. It is for students, working parents, people in their sixties, total beginners, and anyone coming back after a long gap. Gurushankar runs it the same way he trains: in person, with real people, week after week.
